One of the goals of Adastra Academy is to unite all our internal and external efforts to share the accumulated knowledge. Our external initiatives are aimed at working with universities so that everyone interested in the IT industry can be informed and prepared to maximum extend when entering the labor market.
On the other hand, we support higher education to be aligned with the requirements of the real business. For this reason, we keep organizing our initiatives such as online lectures, workshops, open courses etc. Here are some of them in a nutshell:
Big Data Workshop
This workshop, specially organized for Master students at the University of Economics – Varna, was hosted online by our colleague Milen Marinov. It is done for a third consecutive year and this time it took place during the period from November 10th to November 19th. During the first part of the course Milen covered theoretical topics while the second part were practical hands–on exercises on Big Data technologies.
Data Warehouse Lecture
On November 19th, our colleagues from Plovdiv – Bistra Kumanova and Maria Asanska took the challenge to support once again our collaboration with Plovdiv University. They kept the tradition by leading a Data Warehousing online lecture in front of Bachelor students auditory.
Online Lecture: Databases
A few days later, on November 24th, we hosted an online lecture focused on Databases. Our Data Warehouse Consultant Maria Asanska presented the topic to the students at the University of Economics – Varna.
Online Lecture: Machine learning
Yesterday, our BI Consultant Georgi Petkov presented an online lecture about Machine Learning for Image Recognition to the Masters from the Technical University of Plovdiv.
Another of our initiatives took place today. Our Data Warehouse Consultant Bistra Kumanova presented Databases topics at the Technical University of Plovdiv.
What’s Next
We are preparing a very interesting online course that will focus on Аzure cloud solutions. The course will include a special lab part that will challenge participants to implement an end-to-end scenario using a supplied sample that is based on Microsoft Azure Functions, Azure Cosmos DB, Event Grid, and related services.
